ACC offered the Respiratory Therapy Program for less money and less time than UTMB & TSU plus ACC is so close to my house. All my instructors are very willing to help and guide me in the right respiratory path for me.

I chose Alvin Junior College (became ACC in 1972) because it was convenient, affordable and it was important to get a good base so that I could continue my education. In 1970, I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (from Sam Houston State University) and I owe most of that to Alvin Junior College. So for Alvin Junior College, it has always been dear to my heart. For anyone wanting to pursue higher education at your local level, I highly recommend Alvin Junior College.
